Finds from the Hohlenstein-Stadel cave ![]() Hohlenstein-Stadel - 1960 Hohlenstein-Stadel cave is located in the picturesque Lone valley about half way between Vogelherd and Bockstein. Actually, Hohlenstein-Stadel consists of three prehistoric cave sites in a group: the Stadel proper, the Kleine Scheuer and the Bärenhöhle. In 1935, Robert Wetzel inspected the rock face of the Hohlenstein where others had tried their luck before. Wetzel discovered numerous and to some extent spectacular artefacts before the war began in 1939. Finds: ![]()
